The Seasonal Sketchbook was a year-long project (Oct ’20 – Sept ’21) of creative prompts, visual inspiration and creative techniques that I posted online when I couldn’t teach face to face.
Part journal, part creative inspiration, part on-line teaching; The Seasonal Sketchbook allowed me to connect and share with others at a time when that was hard to do.
It also motivated me to get outdoors and into nature. It ensured that I painted, wrote every week, researched art history, explained techniques and kept a visual journal through that period of time. I still revisit the ‘weekly prompt’ section for seasonal inspiration, and respond to sketches I created during that year to inform new work.
